Bio

Allison Altobelli is a tenured veteran of the newspaper industry with more than fifteen years of sales leadership experience.  In October of 2019, Allison was named Publisher of Community Impact Newspaper - Atlanta Metro Region.  She is responsible for leading the company’s expansion into their sixth market with a planned newspaper launch date of March 2020.  

Allison’s experience includes time at the AtlantaJournal-Constitution as the Director of Sales and Product Strategy and at the Philadelphia Inquirer as the Director of Advertising Financial Operations.Allison also spent eight years at The Washington Post in various sales,marketing and leadership roles.  

Allison began her career as a territory sales rep at the New Haven Register (New Haven, CT.) upon graduating with a degree in Business fromSpringfield College (Springfield, MA.) In 2010, she received an MBA from the University of Maryland (College Park, MD.). In 2017, she was named one of Editor and Publisher’s Top 25 Under 35 up-and-comingpublishing professionals.  

Today, Allison resides in Atlanta, GA. and continues to be apassionate advocate for the newspaper industry. She uses her platform as the Board President of the News Advertising Coalition to promote the value of the printed product.  She is mission-driven and believes that newspapers are the indispensable resource of every community.

Bio

Katherine is the Preprint Sales Manager at the Star Tribune Media Company. In this role she oversees preprint and P&D product revenue, positioning, and development.

Katherine studied Journalism, International Relations, and Marketing at Miami University and was Editor-in-Chief of the school’s environmental publication. She brought her experience to the Star Tribune in 2011 as a summer intern and hasn’t left! In May 2015, Katherine was named as one of the Advertising Federation of Minnesota’s ‘32 under 32’ – influential leaders in advertising under the age of 32.

Bio

Matt is the Manager of Sales & Marketing Research for Gatehouse Media. In addition to his marketing duties he also serves as the Promotion and Special Section Sales Manager for The Columbus Dispatch. Matth as served many roles during his 15+ years at The Columbus Dispatch; Local Sales Representative, Recruitment Sales Representative, Small Business and Classified Sales Managers and National Sales Manager. 

Matt is a graduate of The University of Dayton where he studied Communications Management. In 2007 Matt was honored with the Salesperson of The Year at The Columbus Dispatch. 2008 he received Digital Salesperson of The Year for Dispatch.com. 2008 he also received Columbus Alive Salesperson of The Year.

Matt resides in Columbus Ohio with his wife and 2 children. Where he spends his spare time coaching and playing sports many different sports with his kids.

Bio

Jim is the Sr. Manager of Preprint & RevenueDevelopment at the Chicago Tribune Media Group. He has worked in the newspaper industry for over 30 years, spending almost all this time at Tribune Publishing.  Jimstarted his career in Classified Telemarketing and Recruitment and has heldnumerous sales positions handling major accounts in the Automotive, Grocery andNational Account categories.  

Jim currently leads the preprint strategy forthe Chicago Tribune Media Group developing programs to maximize current advertisersupplied preprint revenue as well as print & deliver revenue.  He also leads the pricing strategies for all ROP programs within The Chicago Tribune Media Group’s suite of products.

Jim is a Marketing graduate of the University of Wisconsin- Whitewater.  He has been a NAC member since 2013 and on the board since 2016 and currently resides in the communityof Batavia in the western suburbs of Chicago.

Mark Missurelli is the Preprint andSpecial Section Manager at the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel Newspaper.  

In this role Mark oversees preprintand P&D product development.

He also oversees Special Sections andWe-print development for all USA Today Wisconsin publications.

For 30 plus years, Mark has enjoyed avariety of Advertising Sales and Manager roles at Journal Sentinel Media.  Prior to the Journal Sentinel, Mark worked inAdv. Sales at the Kenosha News and Racine Journal Times newspapers.

He has a Business Administrationdegree from St. Norbert College, (DePere, WI), and a Communications Arts degreefrom the University of Wisconsin – Parkside, (Kenosha, WI).

Mark and his bride, Katherine, havethree children and reside in Franklin, WI. Outside of the business, Mark is an active member of the Knights ofColumbus and enjoys playing golf with family & friends.

Bio

Regional Advertising Director of Carolina Publishing (Morning News, Hartsville Messenger,Marion-Star/Mullins Enterprise and News Post and Observer). Carolina Publishingis owned by BH Media Group, a division of Berkshire Hathaway.

Jane began her media career after graduating from LoyolaUniversity in New Orleans with a BA in Communications.  She was recruited during her senior year towork for Peter A. Mayer Advertising in New Orleans.  At the time, Peter Mayer was the largestAdvertising Agency in Louisiana and Jane had the privilege to be the MediaBuyer on such prestigious accounts as the Jazz and Heritage Festival, Nationaland Canal Villere’ Supermarkets, Maison Blanche Department Store, PellerinMilnor and  the local McDonalds Co-Op.  

After a few years of developing integrated media campaignsfor some of the Agency’s clients, Jane was recruited to join the newly expandedPromotion Department of WWL-TV- New Orleans as Media Manager.  At the time, WWL-TV was one of the strongestCBS News affiliates in the country boasting a 47 share for the 6pm newscast.  It took the newly formed team only 10 monthsto exceed the 50 share mark at 6 and 10pm.

In 1987 Jane was recruited to leave New Orleans and joinDavid L. Rawle Advertising in Charleston to be the Media Director and workextensively on the Piggly Wiggly Carolina Company’s $1.4 million annualtelevision budget.  During Jane’s time atthe Rawle Agency, David merged with Bruce Murdy and the company becameRawle-Murdy Advertising.  During Jane’stenure at Rawle-Murdy, she worked on numerous acquisitions including, McDonalds,The 21 Club in New York, and South Carolina Economic Development.  In addition to overseeing all agencyaccounts, Jane specifically bought media for Spoleto USA, Charleston PlaceHotel, The Shops at Charleston Place, and Wild Dunes Resort.  In 1991 Jane opted to launch her own MediaBuying Agency, Comfort & Company. With a local Papa John’s franchisee in Charleston and Columbia, Janeearned a strong Brand for her company and her clients and went on to manage TheSouth Carolina Stingrays hockey team, Comcast Cable, and other Papa John’sFranchise co-ops.  

In 1994 a recruitment call came for Jane to leave the buyingside and move to the selling side and join the Post and Courier as MarketingCommunications Manager.  Over the next 15years Jane had a progressive career at the Post and Courier includingClassified Manager and Niche Division Manager where she launched a newinitiative with one employee, herself, and grew to a team of 8 generating $2.5million dollars annually developing strategic Direct Mail Campaigns for thePost and Courier’s host of advertisers.  

In 2009 change came to The Post and Courier andafter almost 25 years in Charleston, Jane relocated to Jacksonville Florida asDirector of Database Marketing for the Times-Union, the flagship media companyfor the Morris Family of Augusta Georgia. In 6 short years Jane was promoted to be Director of New BusinessDevelopment, Director of Retail Advertising and Corporate Advertising SalesDirector for Morris Publishing Group where she built and launched thecentralized corporate sales team that managed $35

Bio

After a 10-year stint as a weather forecaster and climatologist in the U.S. Air Force, John moved into a successful 28 year media career leading various departments and newspapers from the Omaha World-Herald, Sandusky Newspapers, The Small family and finally in Muskogee with the CNHI.  

He is the Founder of the 360 Media Alliance, a news-media industry think tank as well as the Founder of Uniquely USA – a tourism marketing and branding initiative rolling out in several States.  

Recently, he became very active in community economic development and branding. He is the Founder of Starved Rock Country, a regional branding initiative in Northern Illinois generating tens of millions in newgrowth spinning off regional branding initiatives including concerts, marathons, events, magazines and aggressive E-commerce business platforms.  Since he was named the poster child of theNewspaper Next initiative with the “Delivery QC” loyalty platform years ago, he has a passion for building customer loyalty and retention programs that build loyalty and grow revenue.

His favorite quote sums up his outlook on transformation;“If you don’t like change, you will like irrelevance even less.”

John’s hobbies are history, economics, sports and traveling so that he and his wife Kathy can see their nine children spread throughout the country.
